Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. When you frown or concentrate, muscles between your brows contract, which causes your skin to furrow and fold. When you squint, muscles around your eyes contract, which causes crow’s feet. Over time, these different expressions leave their mark on your face. As the skin ages, its middle layer thins due to collagen loss, reducing the skin’s ability to retain elasticity, fat pads move, sag, & diminish. A considerable loss of facial bone also occurs, and without this structural support, the skin will experience distinct changes in appearance It’s not just about cellular changes, collagen depletion, and/or damage caused by free radicals.
Treat yourself and reveal a new you. At Facial Esthetique, we offer simple, nonsurgical cosmetic procedures to produce instant, natural-looking results. Whether you want to restore or add volume to correct age-related loss, provide contour, subtle lifting, or smooth your skin’s folds and smile lines, the results are instant, and the downtime is minimal if any.
Facial Dermal Fillers
How Does Botox Work?
Did you know there is a constant tug of war going on in your face? There are certain muscles that lift a portion of the face (such as an eyebrow) and opposing muscles that pull it down. By injecting Botox in the muscle that pulls things down, the muscle that lifts wins, which results in lifting that portion of the face.
What Is Recommended?
Scheduling a complimentary consultation prior to your treatment will determine the best plan for your desired skincare needs and concerns. Most clients need only one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing with the results lasting up to 6 months or longer.
What Is Recommended After Treatment?
Minimize strenuous exercise and exposure to extensive sun or heat within the first 24 hours following treatment.
Tell your doctor if you are using medications that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood thinners; as with any injection, this may result in increased bruising or bleeding at the injection site.
What Is in a Dermal Filler?
Dermal fillers are FDA-approved injectable gels that consist of a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel made from a naturally occurring sugar-based substance to provide long-lasting results. The advanced manufacturing process creates a smooth gel that flows consistently and easily into the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel. Some also contain lidocaine for added client comfort.
