Neova® Renaissance 2 Peel

The Neova® Renaissance 2 Peel is a superficial to medium depth peeling agent which removes the top layers of skin to reveal new, brighter, and fresher looking skin. It combines a blend of lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol with Neova®  DNA Total Repair to effectively “clean up” the visible effects of excessive sun exposure before it becomes permanent. This results in visible improvement after a single peel treatment.  With results being cumulative, significant results are seen with a series of three to six treatments, spaced three to four weeks apart.

For optimal results, continued home-use of Neova® DNA Total Repair will transform your skin and the tell-tale signs of sun damage can be repaired and reversed.

Give your skin the second chance it deserves.  It’s never too late to start correcting and protecting your skin.

“It is now possible to ‘clean your genes’ and literally reverse decades of UV damage by tackling sun protection with molecular biology.  By far, the most promising treatment is one that optimizes your skin’s own natural DNA repair” – Dr. Daniel B. Yaroush, Molecular Biologist

What to Expect Following the Renaissance 2 Peel

Day 1:  Application Day

After the Renaissance Peel is applied, your skin will look great and you will have a “sun kissed” glow.  Typically your skin will begin to peel approximately 36 – 48 hours after application.  Be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen, avoiding direct sun exposure.  Please be sure to follow the instructions provided in the post peel kit for optimal results!

Day 2:  Tight Face but Looking Just Fine!

Your skin looks great today, but will start to feel dry and tight.  Be sure to use sunscreen provided and wear a hat.  It is also advised to avoid strenuous exercise during the first week, as this may result in post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

Day 3:  Starting to Peel

You will likely start to peel today.  The peeling process starts around the mouth and nose area.  Do not pick or pull the skin, as this may cause scarring (hyperpigmentation). Do not rub the skin.  It is important to apply DNA Total Repair, CU3 Lotion and sunscreen for the next 3 – 5 days.

Day 4:  Happy Peeling!

This day the peeling will more than likely include the entire face.  Make sure you are applying the DNA Total Repair and CU3 Lotion at least twice a day for hydration and comfort.

Day 5:   Still Peeling, but Looking Good!

The peeling process is starting to subside and is less noticeable in the outward cheeks and forehead.  Make sure you are wearing a hat and sunscreen when going outside.  Reapply sunscreen after 2 hours.

Day 6:  You Look Gorgeous!

The peeling process should be complete.  Your skin looks great, but will feel dry/dehydrated.  Continue with your skin care regime.  Drink lots of water to plump those skin cells!

Note:  Everyone may not experience peeling of their facial skin.  However, this is not an indication that the peel was ineffective.  If peeling does not occur, please know that you are still receiving all the benefits of the peel, such as stimulation of collagen production and improvement of skin tone.

There are several reasons why a patient may not peel or experience minimal peeling/flaking.  These include:

  • Frequent use of Retin-A, Retinol, AHA, or other peeling agents
  • Having frequent peels at short internals
  • Severe sun damage
